After successive electoral victories, in which she defeated the BJP in Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee addressed a massive rally today in Kolkata, a day which is commemorated as Shahid Diwas by the Trinamool Congress to mark the death and honour 13 people who were killed in police firing during a demonstration in 1993. Over the years, this programme has gained significance as a platform where Mamata Banerjee addresses lakhs of party supporters and workers in the heart of Kolkata. Mamata Banerjee was joined by Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, who also addressed the gathering. And apart from domestic matters, Mamata Banerjee also commented on the ongoing issue in neighbouring Bangladesh.
