On Sunday, actor Akshay Kumar attended the graduation ceremony of a women's self-defence workshop where he highlighted the recent Chandigarh 'stalking' case. He read out exactly what the 29-year-old girl, daughter of an IAS officer wrote on a blog after she was stalked. The Chandigarh police charged BJP chief Subhash Barala's son Vikas Barala and his friend Ashish Kumar with bailable offences, under the IPC and Motor Vehicles Act, and they were released in the evening. The actor highlighted this incident to motivate and encourage women to speak up if they face any kind of harassment.
