Speaking in the show Money Mantra, Anil Chopra, group CEO, Bajaj Capital, says that only those insurance policies that offer a sum assured of 10 times the annual premium will be eligible for tax exemption. Akshay Mehrotra, chief marketing officer at Policybazaar.com, another expert, says that insurance should not be purchased only for the purpose of saving taxes.
