Congress leader Ahmed Patel's daughter Mumtaz Patel told NDTV that allegations against him that he tried to bring down the government on Sonia Gandhi's behest were "ridiculous". Ahmed Patel, a Rajya Sabha member from Gujarat, died of Covid complications in November 2020. His daughter, Mumtaz Patel, said "It would have been ideal to bring this up when my father was alive.
