As 6 convicts in the assassination of former PM Rajiv Gandhi are set to walk free out of the jail, Congress has objected to the Supreme Court verdict, saying the assassination of a former PM, was an assault on India's sovereignty. And that, the Gandhi's family's earlier comments, are their personal reactions, not party stand. DMK, currently the ruling government in Tamil Nadu, has justified their stand of recommending the release of the convicts, on humanitarian ground.
