Amaravati: India's Singapore in Making?
Massive preparations are on in Andhra Pradesh's new capital Amaravati for its foundation ceremony on October 22. Around 700 VVIPs are expected to attend the ceremony including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A dozen helipads are being built in and around the venue to airlift the guests. Amaravati would be built on a master plan designed in partnership with the Singapore government. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu last month revealed his vision of making Amaravati a smart city like Singapore.
