BJP chief Amit Shah has equally penalized the two warring factions in Karnataka unit of the party after both refused to patch up and make nice. The factions, led by state party chief BS Yeddyurappa and rival KS Easwarappa, had been indulging in a slanging match days after the party lost the crucial by-election in the state. Each had asked Mr Shah to penalise the other. Now Mr Shah, who is in Jammu and Kashmir as part of a two-week tour, has sacked two office-bearers from each faction after a discussion with its Karnataka in-charge Muralidhar Rao.
