Andhra govt in denial over rise in farmer suicides?
The Andhra Pradesh state government has officially declared over 80 per cent of its area as drought-hit, the worst in 10 years. And even though reports of farmer suicide-deaths are pouring in, the official farmer suicide death figure shows that it is 71 this year, a 150 year low.
