Anurag Thakur Meets Makers Of Oscar-Winning Documentary 'The Elephant Whisperers'

Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur on March 30 met Oscar-winning makers of The Elephant Whisperers at his residence in Delhi. The Minister met producer Guneet Monga, Director and Cinematographer Kartiki Gonsalves and Monica from Netflix.  The Elephant Whisperers bagged Best Documentary Short Subject at the 95th Academy Awards. Earlier, PM Modi also met the Oscar-winners and took to Twitter and hailed the Oscar-winning documentary. Guneet Monga is known for acclaimed films like 'The Lunchbox', 'Masaan', and 'Gangs of Wasseypur'. "Many congratulations to the team of The Elephant Whispers. It is a big moment for India that our team has won an Oscar. India is called the world's biggest film producer but we have achieved a huge achievement in the category of awards," said Anurag Thakur.
