AR Rahman's Daughter Khatija's Music Video Breaks Stereotyping Of Women In Hijab

"I am often looked down upon due to my hijab. People judge I don't know much (sic)". This is what Oscar winner AR Rahman's singer-daughter Khatija tells about the kind of stereotype she faces because of her attire. The young singer has now released a music video, Farishtha, on breaking this stereotype and to celebrate diversity. She has collaborated with her musician father for an animation number called Farishtha in Hindi. Khatija Rahman spoke with NDTV on the album, on working with her father and on her sister who is known for her modern outfits.
