Are There No Safe Spaces For Women?
There is outrage across the country with doctors going on strike after a 31-year-old doctor at a leading hospital in Kolkata was raped and murdered. While the accused has been caught, many are demanding a CBI probe. Mamata Banerjee has urged protesters to give her police force a few days to crack the case after which she will hand over the case to the CBI. This is just the latest in a series of horrific attacks on women in the country. Are there no safe spaces for women in India?
