Armed forces may get further pay hike
Protests by retired officers and letters of resignations from serving officials have forced the government to come up with a better pay hike for the military and Para-military like the Border Security Force (BSF). Over 900 Army officers, crucial to India's fight against insurgency and terrorism, have applied for premature retirement since January this year.
