Army chief on Indo-Pak tension
Army Chief General Deepak Kapoor has said the Indian Army needs to maintain the highest levels of combat readiness at all times to meet any emergency, including terrorist attacks and threats to internal security. General Kapoor pointed out that the alert didn't amount to war mongering. The Indian Army has been on alert ever since the terrorist attacks on Mumbai in November last year.
