Army's Policy Of Preferential Promotion Backed By Supreme Court

The Army's policy of preferential promotion to those in combat units was upheld by the Supreme Court today. The top court has directed the government to create 141 extra posts of Colonel to accommodate those who could not be promoted because of the policy.
