Army to recruit more SSC officers
The Army has come up with a new plan to deal with the huge shortage of officers - offer them a shorter stint and as a bonus throw in a big cash incentive. The Army is terribly short of officers, nearly 11,000 of them, mostly in the rank from Captain to Lieutenant Colonel.
