On 'Art Matters' this week, a tribute to music legends from one of Pakistan's young, emerging talents. Trained in the Delhi Gharana of Hindustani classical music, author, journalist and singer Ali Sethi's personal tribute to the great singer, Reshma, is a rendition of the classic 'Kithay Nain Na Jorin', with a music video and an interesting use of the cello and the piano. Good voices in Pakistan usually belong to fusion, sufi or rock bands. Few among the youth take to classical music in a rigorous way, especially those from elite backgrounds, like Ali Sethi. He hopes to have his music reach a wider platform and has been performing in both Pakistan and India.
