For two years Anthropologist Malathi de Alwis and photographer Sharni Jayawardhane travelled across Sri Lanka documenting, through photographs, the worship of Goddess Kannaki-Pattini. Deeply divided by war and violence, these images of Sri Lanak reveal the unknown syncretic images of the two communities.
