The 9th edition of the Jaipur Literature festival this year was a tribute to Margaret Atwood – the booker prize winner, who attended the fest after a seven year chase by the event directors, as Sanjoy Roy put it. Apart from Ms Atwood, who delivered a key note address at Lit Fest, feminist icon Marlon James, booker winner for "a brief history of seven killings" also addressed a session at the event. Mr James was, however unhappy with his experience as he landed in India but his session was pretty packed at Diggi Palace. The sessions at the literature festival have now gone beyond books and authors to include informed debates and even art displays.
