Art Matters: Musical Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi

Vaishnava Jana To Tene Kahiye - One who feels the pain of others is a true Vaishnav. This bhajan full of compassion, was part of Gandhiji's daily prayers. It was written by the 15th century poet Narasinh Mehta who is known in Gujarat as Adi Kavi or the first poet. Musician Vidya Shah sings the bhajan in the Sabarmati Ashram-style. The paintings are by well-known artist Haku Shah's series 'Nitya Gandhi'.
