Arun Jaitley Shares Central Philosophy Around Union Budget 2017-18
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, in an interview to DD News, said that his central idea of the budget was that it had to be linked to the present context - what our country needs and where we are strong. The strength of our country is public investment, FDI, increased consumer spending and now, after a good monsoon, better yield in farming and our weaknesses are the private sector and struggling banks, so I had to spend more, he said.
