The Supreme Court today granted Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal bail in a money-laundering case by the Enforcement Directorate linked to the Delhi liquor policy.
"It is an important outcome today for Mr Kejriwal," his lawyer told NDTV.
"The Supreme Court has said that there are certain legal questions in respect of interpratation of Section 9, which requires a consideration of the larger bench," he said.
"But it was clearly of the view that given the fact that Mr Kejriwal is a chief minister and that he has undergone a large period of custody and holds the constitutional post, it is in the fitness of things that he be released in the ED case," he added.
