Enforcement Directorate raids are back in the news, and so is the way two opposition chief ministers have chosen to skip summons, not once but multiple times. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Jharkhand's Hemant Soren have refused to comply with the summons issued to them and called them 'illegal'. Both are under the scrutiny of investigating agencies for money laundering - Mr Kejriwal in the alleged Delhi liquor scam case, and Mr Soren is being probed for an alleged land scam. Mr Kejriwal skipped the summons thrice and Hemant Soren six times. Opposition parties such as AAP are questioning the lack of transparency in the way the ED functions, whereas the BJP has made it clear, that the corrupt by not complying with institutions are trying to evade their imminent arrests.
