Two days after he was granted bail and walked out of prison after six months, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced today his shock resignation at a party meeting this afternoon. The Aam Aadmi Party leader has said a member of the party will be named Chief Minister after his resignation. He said he would go among the people and ask for their support. Mr Kejriwal also demanded that the elections in the national capital, scheduled for February, be held in November along with the polls in Maharashtra. Now BJP is asked why the AAP leader is creating drama, and why Arvind Kejriwal did not resign when he was in jail. The party has said that the mood of the people of Delhi was clear with the BJP winning all seven seats in the recently held Lok Sabha elections and that Mr Kejriwal should immediately dissolve the assembly.
