As Water Recedes, Himachal Counts Its Losses

Finally, some relief for Himachal Pradesh today. Two days after record breaking rain induced flash floods, landslides and building collapse, the chief minster conducted an aerial survey and said the priority is to restore power and provide clean water. The government is also trying to establish alternative routes where roads were washed away. While one of the worst affected districts, Mandi woke up to bright sunshine and a little hope.
