Was a summon by the anti-terror National Investigation Agency (NIA) issued to one of India's top cardiologists linked to an interview last week on NDTV where he spoke against the scrapping of Jammu and Kashmir's special status? "It smacks of it," said Dr Upendra Kaul. One of Dr Kaul's patients included jailed Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front chief Yasin Malik. "Yasin Malik was first brought to me by government officials. As a doctor, my oath doesn't allow me to differentiate between patients regardless of who they are," he said, adding "The NIA asked me if an SMS on blood report was linked to hawala transactions."
