Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma appreciated the initiative of the Kailash Satyarthi foundation and the campaign 'Justice for Every Child', in ensuring a bright future for the children who have been victims of child marriage. He said that child marriage is one such problem the nation is facing today at a massive scale. Extending his moral support towards the campaign, the Chief Minister said that the Assam government is committed to stopping child marriages. In this connection, the state has launched an uncompromising initiative to end child marriage by 2026 and has created a Rs 200 crore corpus to appoint special advocate for each child marriage case.
