Assam Issues Advisory Against Travel To Mizoram
Tension still prevails at the state border between Assam and Mizoram since Monday when six Assam policemen were killed in firing allegedly by Mizoram Police. Mizoram has accused the neighbouring state of an economic blockade, which Assam has denied. Assam has sent a team of policemen to Delhi to question Mizoram's Rajya Sabha MP Vanlalvena for his controversial comment. The Assam government has issued an advisory warning people from the state not to travel to Mizoram. It said people of Assam are advised not to travel to Mizoram as any threat to their safety can't be accepted.
