Attack on CRPF despite intelligence warning
Rampur in Western Uttar Pradesh is largely a sleepy town, but on the wee hours of the New Year four militants got into a CRPF camp and killed seven jawans and one UP police constable. The attack was audacious, the terrorists went about a kilometer into the camp, reached the DIG's office and the administrative building firing their AK-47 indiscriminately and hurling grenades.
