Attrition in armed forces on rise
For the past 10 years, there was a moratorium on the recruitment of civilian faculty at the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, which has now been lifted. This has happened because the college desperately needs 28 chief medical officers and nine readers, positions that have been lying vacant for quite some time. But the problem is that there aren't any takers for these posts.
