The annual Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) had its annual meet in New Delhi last week. The big worry was how to take the industry out of the slowdown rut it has found itself in for over 18 months now. No solutions seem to be on the horizon, and the bigger worry is a lack of concern from the government. The industry is pressing for a stimulus package, and also looking forward to the festive season. We get views from the big names in Motown, including Pawan Goenka and Karl Slym amongst others.
