"Autocratic Government Doesn't Want Parliament To Function": Trinamool's Derek O'Brien
In an interview with NDTV, Trinamool MP Derek O'Brien claims that the Modi government is avoiding discussion on key issues pertaining to national security. Hitting out at 'autocratic' decision-making, the TMC MP stated that Lok Sabha TV and Rajya Sabha TV are being censored and that there is a concerted effort by the government to ensure Opposition MPs don't get a platform to raise issues in Parliament. Terming the passage of Bills amid din as 'slaughter of Democracy', Derek O'Brien says that instead of walking out, the Opposition will only intensify the fight to be heard and secure the right to raise issues of national concern.
