Azad resigns as J&K Chief Minister
For just forty hectares of land, the Jammu and Kashmir government has fallen. The larger symbolism of handing over land to the Amarnath shrine board, resulting in a bitter religious divide in the state today. Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad chose to step down in the state assembly rather than going for a trust vote, governor's rule is now likely in the state.
