Backlash At Trump Rally As Comedian Mocks Puerto Rico, Kamala Harris Visits Jan 6 Site
At a Donald Trump rally, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe stirred controversy by calling Puerto Rico a "floating island of garbage," igniting backlash from both Republicans and Democrats who criticised the comments as racist. Speaking at Madison Square Garden in New York, Hinchcliffe also used a string of jokes based on racial stereotypes. Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris is set to make her closing remarks for the presidential campaign in Washington, at the same location where Donald Trump addressed supporters on January 6, 2021, shortly before the US Capitol attack.
