Backward March: Who Is Afraid Of Caste Census?
The Bihar Government has announced that an all-party meeting on holding a caste census will take place in Patna on the June 1. This is significant because Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has wanted this census. The move is also supported by the opposition RJD and other parties, But the BJP has been very reluctant to endorse it. This story is important for two main reasons. One, is the politics - a rift in Bihar between allies the BJP and the JDU.
