Bahraich In UP, A District With Targets To Meet On Health And Hygiene Front
Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh is one of the aspirational districts chosen by Niti Aayog to bring about a positive change on the socio-economic front. With a population of nearly 35 lakh Bahraich is ranked 96 out of 117 districts identified as aspirational by NiTi Aayog, on six different parameters of health and nutrition, education and access to clean water among others. Under the NDTV-Dettol Banega Swasth India campaign Aga Khan Foundation is partnering with Reckitt Benckiser in three states to work together in 3000 schools, out of which just Bahraich district has 711 schools.
