In Varanasi's Prarthmik Vidyalaya Sihorva, during recess time, the school bell rings six times. It is a signal for students to come out of their classrooms and follow the six-step routine of handwashing they have been taught as part of the 'Bajegi Ghanti, Dhulega Haath' curriculum. Implemented through the Dettol Banega Swasth India programme, the curriculum teaches the children how and when to wash their hands.
