Banega Swasth India Season 7: Interlinking Health, Hygiene And Environment

For the first five years of the NDTV Dettol Banega SWACHH India campaign, we spoke to you of how crucial it is to live in clean surroundings. Cleanliness and hygiene we stressed was essential for India's shining future. Last year, we made the natural transition from Banega Swachh India to Banega Swasth India and linked cleanliness and hygiene directly to health. We started the swasthagraha or our long march towards a healthy future and looked at how simple daily hygiene habits from washing our hands regularly to eating right to keeping our surroundings clean to being open defecation free actually improved health statistics on the ground. This year, with COVID-19 ravaging the world, more people are waking up to the facts we have been portraying about health hygiene nutrition and a clean environment.
