Bangladesh SC Scales Down Job Quotas Responsible For Violent Protests
Bangladesh's Supreme Court has scrapped most of the government job quotas that have triggered violent student protests in the country. According to media reports, the top court has dismissed a lower court order that had reinstated the reservation. Now 93% of government jobs will be open to candidates on merit, without quotas.
