Banks increasing SME lending
State Bank of India (SBI) is going green betting on companies that are making money by turning environmentally friendly. "There is a company called EcoSecurities, which is a major facilitator of carbon credits and they recently set shop in India and we have started talking to them. Only 227 projects have already been cleared and it is set to become much bigger," said J Chandrasekaran, GM - SME, State Bank Of India.
