Baran: Children severely malnourished
Reports of hunger deaths from Baran district in Southwest Rajasthan have been coming in since 2002 with frightening regularity. Two blocks in the district, Shahbad and Kishenganj, are home to the poorest of the poor, 75000 Sahariya tribals, the only primitive adivasis in Rajasthan.
