Beef Politics Returns: Polarisation Ahead Of UP Polls?

Is Uttar Pradesh heading towards polarised politics yet again? That’s the big question as tension builds up in Dadri in Uttar Pradesh. BJP leaders defy prohibitory orders and hold a meeting, issuing threats, and demanding the arrest of Mohammad Akhlaq's family after a forensic report said the meat found near Mr Akhlaq's home was indeed beef. Mr Akhlaq was beaten and lynched by a mob last year on suspicion of having beef in his fridge. Shockingly, here we are, not trying to bring his killers to justice, but debating the type of meat he may have had at home.
