Beijing to cap new car licenses in 2011; Will India follow?
To ease road conjestion, the city of Beijing will limit the number of new license plates issued in 2011 to 240,000. Post the cap on sale, the China Automobile Dealers Association expects new car sales to drop 50 per cent next year to around 400,000 units. But can India also go in for a measure like Beijing?
