After a Sunday of violence over a Ram Navami procession in Rishra in West Bengal's Hooghly district, the second instance of arson and vandalism around a Ram Navami procession, now a message to the administration to stay alert and warning of more such pre-planned violence has come from the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The Trinamool Congress has blamed the BJP for entering sensitive areas and creating trouble. The BJP hit back, saying Ms Banerjee was practicing appeasement politics to hold on to her Muslim votebank. The Bengal BJP chief alleged he was not allowed to go to the area today.
