Bengal Maoists offer ceasefire: Will it work?
A day after Maoists in West Bengal offered a month long truce, on the condition that the state government suspends all joint security force operations against them, the question is whether this will lead to some calm in the Maoist affected West Midnapore, Bankura and Purulia districts, also known as Junglemahal. A response from the state government to the Maoists' offer is awaited.
