Bengaluru Bus Driver Loses Control, Rams Into Bikes, Cars, 2 Injured
At least two people sustained critical injuries when a bus driver lost control of the vehicle and rammed into several bikes and cars in Bengaluru this morning.
The incident, which was caught on the CCTV installed inside the bus, occurred near Hebbal when the Volvo bus was going to the HSR Layout from the Bengaluru airport.
The CCTV footage shows the man driving the Volvo bus with one hand on the steering wheel.
He then sees traffic ahead and tries to apply brakes. Seconds later, he crashes into at least four cars and five two-wheelers, before being stopped.
The video also shows the bus conductor rushing to the driver's seat, and gesturing as to why is he not applying brakes.
The windshield of the bus was broken due to the accident.
Further probe into the incident is underway, officials said.
