Bhalla's elevation mired in controversy
A day after his elevation, parliamentarians and some eminent lawyers are seeking Justice Bhalla's impeachment. Many MPs have reportedly signed it and Prakash Karat has also assured that Left MPs will seek his impeachment. The issue of Justice Bhalla's appointment has been controversial from the start with the Law Ministry appearing to push it through despite objections.
