"Bharat Jodo Yatra's Objectives Are Political, Not Electoral": Jairam Ramesh
Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh underscored that the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra's objectives are purely political and it has nothing to do with electoral concerns. "I don't think you should conflate the yatra with either a bypoll or even a vidhan sabha election in Himachal or Gujarat. Bharat Jodo Yatra's objectives are simply not electoral, it is a political yatra by a political party. I don't think electoral prospects are the be-all and end-all of the yatra," Mr Ramesh told NDTV.
