Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Reacts To Special Packages For Bihar In Budget 2024
Union Budget 2024 News: Following the Centre's rejection of Bihar's Special Category Status request, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled several development projects for the state. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar welcomed the special packages as sufficient. The plans include a Rs.11,500 crore flood control project, temple corridors at Gaya and Rajgir, expressways connecting key cities, a two-lane bridge over the Ganga, and a 2,400 MW power plant in Bhagalpur. Bihar will also benefit from the Purvodaya initiative to enhance eastern India's development.
