Bijapur Encounter | 31 Naxals Killed, Bullet Marks, Battle Remnants Seen At Bijapur Encounter Site
A fierce encounter between security forces and Naxalites in Chattisgrah’s Bijapur district led to the killing of 31 Naxalites on Feb 9. However, two jawans also lost their lives in the fierce gun battle. The ground zero visuals reveal bullet marks on trees and remnants of encounters were found at the encounter site. The visuals also show memorials set up by Naxal groups to honor their members killed in past encounters. The area remains tense as combing operations continue, with security forces conducting a search march on February 10. Home Minister Amit Shah and Chattisgrah Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai lauded security forces for neutralising 31 Naxals.
