A few years ago, scientists announced that we were in the midst of the sixth mass extinction event. The unprecedented biodiversity loss on the planet has caused a major collapse of biological systems in turn accelerating climate change and being driven by climate change in a negative feedback loop. This directly impacts human health and in the long term will impact human survival.
